Tell us your favorite camping meal!

Do you have any suggestions for our next open-air dinner? What's light enough to carry in a backpack, easy to prepare yet more yammy yammy than all the happy astronaut meals that are best before 2029? Please send a comment with your recommendation

Well, I just made Fettuccine Alfredo for the first time while camping - it was pretty easy. I would say that bacon and eggs on Tortillas make an excellent meal...

Couscous! Couscous is a great camping food because you just add boiling water and wait a few minutes - just be sure to wrap it in two plastic bags to avoid spills. It can be flavored with salt, pepper, dried instant soup packets, dry sausage, sundried tomatoes, raisins/nuts from your trailmix, etc.

Other favorites: pizza on pita breads (throw a few drops of water into the hot pan with the bread, then quickly put the lid on and let the steam melt the cheese); and for breakfast apples dipped in peanut butter and then crunchy granola are tasty.

Speaking of food its making me hungry! But a funny moment while camping I remember a little bear cub came into our camp grounds and people began taking their pots and pans and chasing it away while clashing the pots and pans together! Weird but it worked!
