Here one of my favorite spots in the Bernese Oberland. From the mountain village of Lenk it is only a short hike up to Siebenbrünnen (seven fountains), the source of the Simme river. For the more serious hiker a path leads up along the waterfalls to Flueseeli. But even if you're just looking for a cozy alpine hut, a cold beer and traditional Swiss food, the restaurant up at Siebenbrünnen is worth an excursion.

A bird's eye view on Stockhorn
A few days ago I was invited to a helicopter flight. We left Berne Airport to the east and flew a loop over the hills of the Emmental before heading towards the Stockhorn and Niesen.
